Recently concluded Sepang 1000km Endurance Race (S1K) 2010 featured many regular teams in the Malaysian racing scene. And here are some of them, captured in action.

Here is Team Ultra Racing – Kegani Autotech, spearheaded by team boss and chief racer Kenny Lee.

This year they sent 4 cars to compete, and one of them, the No.36 Toyota Levin won the race. They will have to be even stronger next year to defend their newly acquired crown.

Alex Yoong, former Malaysian F1 driver, now heads his own team, Axle Motorsports. The team’s No.1 Satria Neo were only 7 laps behind the race winner at the end of the race, finishing in 15th position.

The car featured 2 women driver in the cockpit, Japanese Hiroko Nakamura and Alex’s sister Phillipa Yoong, plus Frank Yee of Hong Kong. There were two Satria Neos representing Axle Motorsports, but sister car No.2 Neo did not finish the race.

Petronas’ Super Taikyu driver Imran Shaharom sent two Honda Civics to race under his stable Irace Motorsports, with car No.99 (Wan Muhammad Rafie / Johan Adzmi / Abd Hafi Farhan / Nicholas Tan) and No.5 (Shamir Kumar Nandy / Rajinder Mohan / Ng Kang Hoo / Siva Suriyan).

No.99 recorded 32nd in overall classification while unfortunately No.5 failed to complete the full race distance after suffering mechanical problems.

Now which one is the real Imran? Supposed to be on the right, but then who is the driver with the full Petronas racing suit with Imran’s helmet?

Former Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race (MMER) winner Faidzil Alang teamed up with Shazull Hisham and Romie Asmawi in the No.78 yellow Honda Civic, under the banner of Hafizi Hashim’s AMN Motorsports. Their race aspiration was shortlived when their car had to retire after only 58 laps.

Favourite JC Racing (Eddie Liew / Keifli Othman / Patrick Tam) was fighting for the win throughout the race. But their effort eventually came up short with the No.27 Honda Civic, registering 9th position overall – 5 laps behind the winner.
