Petter Solberg was the fastest driver on the 2nd day of Rally Bulgaria, winning 3 stages from SS8, SS9 and SS10 in a battle for 2nd place with Dani Sordo. Sebastien Loeb still leads the pack heading into the final day tomorrow.

Loeb started the 2nd day by winning in SS5, after the team chose the correct tyres for the damp condition. Ford’s Mikko Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Latvala chose the hard tyres and struggled for pace, losing more than a minute behind Loeb at the end of the stage. This allowed Sebastien Ogier to leapfrog them from 7th to 5th.

Jari-Matti Latvala had to endure a very troublesome day after struggling for grip on the hard tyres.

Dani Sordo took the win in SS6, but by this time were already 30 seconds behind Loeb. Petter Solberg finished in 3rd, with Sebastien Ogier 4th and Latvala 5th.

SS7 was cancelled due to crowd problems, as large numbers of spectators trying to gain late access, causing trouble for the organisers. The stage was cancelled based on safety grounds.
