Malaysian Rally Championship Round 3 at Terengganu (Super Special Stage) – Taguchi Leads

Opening day of the Malaysia Rally Championship (MRC) Round 3 gets underway with 2 tarmac super special stages at the skirts of Lake Kenyir in the region of Terengganu. GSR Pennzoil Racing’s driver Katsu Taguchi finished both stages on top of the timesheet, ahead of multiple champion Karamjit Singh and Lohitt Urs of India.

Taguchi was in fine form, aggressively drifting and sliding his Mitsubihi Evo all the way to register a time of 3 minutes and 1.3 seconds, 11 seconds ahead of Karamjit.

Meanwhile it was a close fought battle for 3rd spot between Urs and Japanese Takeshi Azuma of MRU Motorsports. At the end of the day the Indian speedster in the blue Mitsubishi Evo edged out Azuma by a close 0.7 seconds.
