Shah Alam witnessed the go kart events of All Stars Karting 2011 which introduced 5 categories, including the anticipated Sonik Sport, KF3 and 125 Open.

This competition pitted many young talents from Malaysia against drivers from Japan, India, Singapore and Indonesia.

The day started with clear sky before the weather changes dramatically in the afternoon and fans were treated with some superb driving and overtaking in the treacherous wet conditions for the final races.

In Sonik Sport category Nabil Jeffri grabbed the win after he blew away his rivals with blistering pace.

The KF3 class saw Daniel Woodroof dominated the day from the heats till the final, clinching his second win of the season.

Its astonishing how the karters bravely pushed themselves even during heavy rains plus slippery surfaces.

Some struggles to find the grip while others thrives in this sort of condition and showing tremendous speed and control.

Finishing behind Woodroof in 2nd and 3rd spot were Gilbert Ang and Arjun Maini.

Karters drove through the Shah Alam Karting Circuit which located in the vicinity of Shah Alam Football Stadium.

Meanwhile in 125 Open category, Tanapon Nokkaew created an upset when he steals the victory ahead of many top drivers.

Bryan Mehta and Rahul Raj Mayer were hampered by mechanical problems while Melvin Moh didn’t seems to have the pace to mount a serious challenge.

Top favorites Zahir Ali was leading so far ahead when he spun his kart, putting him out of contention.

Don’t know if the the stewards agree with that kind of driving though.
