ARTA HSV-010 secured a 3rd win for Honda in the Autobacs Super GT 2010 Series, despite a collision with a backmarker earlier in the race.

The ARTA HSV-010 secured its 1st pole position in 2010.
Takashi Kobayashi made a sensational Super GT debut after he clinched pole position in the GT500 Class at the wheel of the ARTA HSV-010. The All Japan F3 driver’s time of 1’55.237 was faster than what his teammate Ralph Firman and Yuji Ide managed to set earlier, and is even more impressive considering the limited amount of time he has to acclimatise with the Honda HSV-010.

The battle for the championship hots up in the GT500 Class with only 3 rounds left for the Autobacs Super GT 2010 Series. After the thrilling race at the Sugo Circuit, the series will head to Suzuka for the 2nd time this year on the 21st – 22nd of August for the 6th round of the championship.

Benoit Treluyer was the class of the field in the Super Lap session.
After struggling for the whole the year, finally the Nismo backed MOTUL AUTECH GT-R managed to secure pole position in the 5th Round of the championship at Sugo. Benoit Treluyer lapped the circuit with the fastest time of 1’16.178 in the final Super Lap session. The RAYBRIG HSV-010, driven by Takuya Izawa took 2nd with a time of 1’16.622 ahead of the MJ KRAFT SC430 in 3rd.

Last year’s winner at Sepang, the HASEMI TOMICA EBBRO GT-R driven by Hironobu Yasuda and Ronnie Quintarelli.
The Super GT Series heads to Malaysia for the 4th round of the championship in what will be the toughest race in the Super GT calendar. The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is famous for two things, the unbearable scorching heat and the torrential monsoon rain.
