Japanese rally driver Toshi Arai (above) won his home rally at Hokkaido yesterday, finishing ahead of his illustrious APRC rivals. Compatriot Katsu Taguchi of MRF Tyres finished the rally in second place, but was 1st under APRC classification. He was followed by Cusco Racing’s Hiroshi Yanagisawa and Indian teammate Gaurav Gill. This makes it two 1st place out of two for Taguchi in Asia Pacific Rally Championship 2010, after winning the Malaysian Rally back in April.
Rally of Hokkaido Day 1 saw local boy Toshi Arai (above) leads the standing in a day full of setbacks and disappointments for many team and drivers.
