‘MMER 2008’

Team Porsche Club Singapore became the first foreign team to win the Merdeka Millennium Endurance race in 2008.

Autoracing club Bratislava was founded in 1997 by a group of Miro Konôpkas and Dušan Vysloužils fans. Since its foundation, the club is participating on national level and international level. Among the competition entered are the Dubai 24 Hour Race, ALMS 12 Hours of Sebring, FIA GT Championship, 12 Hour MMER Sepang and the 12 Hour Budapest.

Johannes represent the third generation of Stucks involved in racing. The offspring of accomplished German driver Hans-Joachim Stuck and grandson to the legend Hans Stuck, Johannes is also in his own right a race car driver, though it was not necessarily this 20-year old’s first choice of career.

He eventually caught the “fuel bug” in 2003 when out of the blue Johannes approached his father with an expressed desire to drive a Formula BMW car. That year, he made his debut in the ADAC VW Lupo Cup and driven by his own enthusiasm, Johannes never looked back.

Having succeeded in making his initial steps, Johannes has since charted his way to continue the family tradition, competing in a number of championships including the VLN and the Mini Challenge as well as taking part in endurance races like the infamous 24-hours of Nürburgring and the 24-hours of Dubai, naturally with class wins.

The Petronas Syntium Team were recently crowned the 2010 Dubai 24 Hours A5 Class Champions and finished second overall in their BMW Z4M Coupe’s. Previously, the team is also the winner of MMER 2009 and a major endurance series in Japan. Petronas Syntium Team is a hugely successful and professional endurance racing team. The picture above was from their participation in the MMER 2008, where they failed to take the 2008 title due to some problems with the car and the Team Porsche Club Singapore was also too fast for them.

These two car battle up very hard until the flag. The white car is the previous winner (MME 2007). One of the driver of the car is the son of ex Malaysia’s Prime Minister. After 7 hours, team Kencana finally being lapped for the first time as seen in the picture above by Team Porsche Singapore. Team Porsche Singapore later lapped Kencana three more times.
